Sydney Hinkle. The Beauty of Nature through Illustration

Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, I have developed a deep love and appreciation for nature and everything in it. Since the moment I could hold a pencil, I've been fascinated with trying to capture the unique colors and shapes of both plants and animals, and enjoy expressing that in my work. Now living in Winston-Salem, I'm constantly working on creating pieces that stand out and engage the viewer with the same whimsical view and passion for nature.

I tend to focus on traditional mediums, working mostly with India inks and watercolor to express my unique style. The feeling and flow of these art tools allow me to create a more natural connection with my pieces. From the strands of fur on a fox's tail, to the light and airy feel of a birds feather, I enjoy bringing to light the characteristics that make these unique and beautiful creatures so awe-inspiring.
